Default Interface Language
The Jumpspeak app interface is set to English by default for all users, except for those learning English. This includes menus, instructions, and navigation elements.
Changing the Interface Language
For English Learners: If you are learning English, you can set your native language as the interface language. This helps make navigation and instructions easier to understand. For example, a Korean learner studying English can set the interface to Korean.
Steps to Change the Interface Language for English Learners:
- Tap the Level icon at the top left of the screen.
- Tap the Language option at the top right showing your current language.
- Select English as the language to learn.
- When prompted, select your native language (e.g., Korean, French) as the support language.
For Learners of Other Languages: If you are learning a language other than English (e.g., French, Spanish, Korean), the app interface will remain in English. It cannot be changed to another language, such as Spanish or French.
Special Cases
Thai Learners: Thai is currently available only through the AI Tutor feature, which does not include the full lesson layout with sections like Home and Words. This results in a different interface experience for Thai learners.
Summary of Limitations
The app interface cannot be switched to languages like Swedish, Spanish, or European Spanish unless you are learning English.
For learners studying languages other than English, the interface remains in English.
