4.3 Levels and progression

See how Jumpspeak levels are structured from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C1), and how to move between or retake them.

Q: How are levels structured?

A: Jumpspeak levels follow a step-by-step progression aligned with the CEFR framework, grouped into five tiers:

Beginner

  • Zero (A1)

  • Newbie (A2)

Pre-Intermediate

  • Tenderfoot (A2)

  • Not Annoying (A2)

Intermediate

  • Confident (B1)

  • Persuasive (B1)

Upper Intermediate

  • Golden Tongue (B2)

  • Guru (B2)

  • Master (B2)

Advanced

  • Fluent (C1)

  • Here (C1)

You can change your level at any time from the Levels tab on the home screen.

Q: Can I skip ahead to a higher level?

A: Yes. Levels in Jumpspeak are not gated, so you can move to any level at any time without completing the previous one first.

Q: How do I know when to move to the next level?

A: As you complete lessons, they are highlighted in green with a check mark. A flashing “Next Up” indicator appears on the lesson you should attempt next, including when it is time to move to a new level.

Q: Can I retake a lesson?

A: Yes. You can revisit any completed lesson at any time and repeat its exercises.

Q: Will my progress save if I close the app mid-lesson?

A: Yes. Jumpspeak automatically saves your progress, so you can pick up exactly where you left off the next time you open the app.
